No laws enforced for vaping behind the wheel

As vaping has become more popular, B.C. has seen a spike in drivers vaping behind the wheel. A vape produces an extensive cloud of smoke causing the driver to not be fully attentive while driving. Although, vaping and driving would not be a reason for an officer to pull the driver over. The nicotine in the vape juice activates the sympathetic nervous system and places drivers in a “fight or flight” mode whereas a THC induced vape juice would impair the driver.

The necessity of touch and consent in yoga


Yoga instructors are speaking out about the importance of touch in yoga, discussing the necessity of re-learning how to approach touch to make people feel more comfortable when attending a yoga class. Drew Hume, founder of Navina Yoga, said, “A dream of mine is to ensure that as a culture, we become more touch-literate. I hope to dissolve the culturally engrained habits that have been spread out of the fear of touch.”
